Polyester resin is the most widely consumed thermosetting resin.
It can be divided into three subcategories: orthophthalic (ORTHO), dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) and isophthalic (ISO).
Orthophthalic resin is commonly used in almost all sections of fiberglassing.
DCPD resin generally has a slightly lower mechanical strength than orthophthalic resin but its reinforcement fibers wet better and contain less styrene.
The isophthalic resin has mechanical, thermal characteristics and resistance to water and chemicals than orthophthalic and DCPD.
There are also mixtures (blend) of these resins (iso / vegetable garden, orchard / DCPD, iso / DCPD).
Our range covers virtually every type of processing (casting, potting manual cut-spray, RTM, infusion, pultrusion, winding, etc ..) in all areas: marine, industry, transport, objects, etc ..
Loaded resins for casting, casting transparent (inclusion), ultra low exothermic peak (allow the lamination of many layers simultaneously), a low content and low styrene emission, high HDT (temperature resistance), high mechanical strength, foodstuffs (for tanks and cisterns), low, medium and high reactivity, with very long processing times (isothermal vans and laminates), for molds, etc …
Vinyl ester resin has better heat resistance and is mechanically and chemically superior to polyester resin and is thus used by those who want a superior performance from fibreglass without substantially changing their production methods.
Unlike polyester resin, vinyl ester resin is ideal for glass fibers as well as for carbon and aramid fibers.
On boats, it is used as a barrier against osmosis or in the execution of high performance hulls.
Its main characteristics are: manual laminating, infusion with a low styrene content and low shrinking (to avoid marking the hull).
Vinyl ester resin is also frequently used in industries that make chemical storage tanks.
Chemical resistance is an area with diverse and sometimes extreme needs. The type of resin is chosen depending on the chemical product, the concentration and working temperature of the tank.

Exopy resins are top of the range for mechanic strength, ideal for getting the most from carbon and aramid fiber. But require greater attention during processing and in the resin/hardener ratio.
Main uses:
For laminating, infusion, transparent casting, loaded mixtures, molds, high temperature molds for prepregs and thermoforming, marble impregnation and consolidation etc…
The silicone rubbers are primarily used to create flexible molds, which are durable and have a variable elasticity depending on the type of application.
Mains uses:
For casting, thixotropic, malleable, low recall, for food, micro-fusion etc. …
Polyurethane resins, rigid and flexible, are used mainly for casting and for making molds, models and medium and small-sized pieces without having to use reinforcing fibers.
Expanding polyurethane resins have different densities and are both rigid and flexible.
Self-extinguishing and flame retardant resins are generally used by the transport industry (airplanes, trains, boats, subways, buses) and set design (cinema, theatre, television, museums) where regulations require various levels of flame retardancy and smoke emission.
Self-extinguishing resins can be pure or loaded with inert flame retardants.
Pure resin generally has a lower level of flame retardancy and smoke emission, while loaded versions reach the highest levels, as seen in the MODAR resin loaded with alumina trihydrate, which arrives at the French rating M1 F0, maintaining excellent mechanical properties.
Plasticrete is a completely non-toxic, water-based acrylic resin, which is withdrawal free and is suitable for coating polystyrene (not having solvents it doesn’t dissolve) and for any application where non-toxicity or non-withdrawal is of primary importance.
There exists both the hand-painted version and one for casting, which is loaded with inert powder and coloured with oxides or water-based dyes that allow you to perfectly simulate many natural materials such as marble, terracotta, tufo rock etc…
There is also a certified self-extinguishing Class 1 version, which abides by Italian regulations.
It is suitable for outdoors as it is weather resistant.
Resin molds: Resin for making molds of the even the largest dimensions with virtually no shrinkage and with rapid curing, allowing you to create a stable mold free of markings in a very short time.
MODAR: Modified acrylic resin, characterised by a fluidity that allows for a very high fiber wetting, good mechanical strength and very fast processing cycles, given that it is the only resin that is already completely hardened when it reaches its exothermic peak and requires no post-curing.
When loaded with alumina trihydrate, it reaches the flame retardant classification of F0 M1, while maintaining excellent mechanical properties.
